WATAD is currently partnering with Expertise France on the SHABAKE 2 project under component 2: Rapid Response Mechanism (RRM)

Shabake came about through the desire to address the localisation of aid agenda and the need to build the capacities of Lebanese NGOs to ensure they play a key role in the response to crises in general, and more specifically to the current Syrian crisis which affects Lebanon.

The project aims to support local CSOs in efficiently responding to emergency situations and ongoing crises in Lebanon.

Sectors that are addressed by the project include but are not limited to:

• Access to Basic Services
• Livelihoods
• Food Security
• Health

WATAD will be implementing projects in the fields of its expertise in order to effectively benefit the right-holders affected by the emergencies/crises.
